In 2020 two webinars about the ‘HCH in EU’-project were hosted. The Consortium – consisting of TAUW Group, CDM Smith and SARGA (Sociedad Aragonesa de Gestión Agroambiental S.L.U.) is commissioned by the European Commission to identify the contaminated sites with former insecticide Lindane / HCH in the European Union.
The webinars helped identifying 142 potential contaminated sites. This has resulted in new application insights into the use of HCH in the past, such as in wood preservation, paint additives and signal flares.
